Our bodies and minds need the balance of both movement and stillness, strength and surrender to fully thrive.

In our culture, we may find it easier to support our need for movement and strength for the body and mind. We are surrounded by people, responsibilities, and activities to keep our brains and our bodies moving. When we need to strengthen our brains, we mentally engage. To strengthen our bodies, we find movement that feels good.

The concepts of stillness and surrender can be trickier. Finding comfort with stillness can feel overwhelming when your mind is racing. To then surrender requires an even deeper level of vulnerability and internal space that might feel unapproachable. In these moments, remember your inner strength. The strength it takes to find and apply tools that work for you. The more you practice stillness and surrender, the easier it gets. You deserve to have balance to fully thrive!
