April McMillan, Instructor

RYT 200 (RYT500 to be completed in December 2019) - April loves to help individuals find and experience the best version of themselves. April is a MSW, LSW who has taken the love of yoga and combined it with her life experience as a social worker. Since 1998, April has spent time working with individuals in child welfare, hospice, gerontology, and mental health. It was the combining of yoga and the social work experience that truly began to transform how April lived life and ultimately shared yoga with others.

April was first introduced to Hatha yoga in early 2016 and immediately fell in love with the practice that ultimately transformed how she viewed life. Since that time, April has done several intensive self studies on her yoga journey, but also has shared space with Becky Morrissey, Judith Lasaster, Josh Summers, and Graciela Mercedes to help further the love and sharing of yoga to all beings! April enjoys helping to make yoga accessible to all beings in an authentic, judgement free, connection based practice. April’s yoga experience includes, Hatha yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga, and mindfulness techniques.

When April is not on the mat, she is living her best life with her husband, Jon, of 21 years and counting. They have two sons, Isaac and Gabriel, and round out their zoo of a household with 3 pets. April believes that everyone has the ability to love greatly and make the world a better place.
